Dear Reader,

Lots of little things that add up to a big deal for me have happened this week. Let's start by saying that I took my first adult ballet class in decades on Monday evening 😅.

I was never a dancer, but I enjoy that movement a great deal, and it was all the sweeter because it was taught by my amazingly talented and energetic daughter. Monday was the first day her new ballet studio opened. I'm so proud of her. She did it all herself.

This may seem a wildly and randomly irrelevant bit of information for a newsletter about writing, but it truly isn't.

Why? Because I'm planning to have my local launch of Dangerous Drusilla, book one in The Pinkstocking Club series, in that very space. Pink stockings. Ballet. Need I say more?

That launch won't occur until January, when the book will be published. Want to read it before then? There are a couple of ways you can make that happen.

1. I still have a few spaces for Dangerous Drusilla ARC readers.

There are a couple of remaining spots for ARC readers for this first book in my series. Just to remind you, if you read an ARC, you are promising to give the book an unbiased advance review on Goodreads and/or Bookbub, and then post a review on Amazon after publication day. If you're interested and want to know more, here's a link to the application form to join the ARC team.​

2. Follow the Kickstarter and back it when the campaign launches.

Only two weeks—or let's be Regency about it and call it a fortnight—until the campaign starts! Everyone who backs the campaign at the Digital Recruit level and above will receive a pre-publication eBook of Dangerous Drusilla if the campaign reaches its goal—among other fun rewards. (And yes, the overwhelming response to last week's poll was that you just wanted the book, LOL! But I've tried to create some fun and useful extras.)

If the campaign is successful, you'll get your eBook in November. No commitment to write a review, but I hope that if you like the book you will do so. ❤️

Drusilla is all dressed up!

This is probably the most exciting thing, for me anyway. My fabulous illustrator Kristen Lee created this gorgeous wraparound cover for the paperback of Dangerous Drusilla:

I've ordered some proof copies and I'll definitely share a picture when I get them!

My first large-print edition is now available.

I've wanted to do this for a while and finally had some time and energy to put into it. For those of you who prefer physical books but who struggle with the often tiny print size in them (tinier now because the price of paper has climbed so high), I'm thrilled to offer a large print edition of The Dressmaker's Secret Earl.

That's about it for this week. I hope your September is off to a good start, whether you're digging into schoolwork, getting kids off to college, or just taking advantage of the renewed energy that this time of year often brings.
