I'm overwhelmed with gratitude—and I need your design input

Dear Reader,

You may already know that my Kickstarter is now fully funded—that doesn't mean it's over, it only means that I've been backed to the amount of my goal. Anyone can still back the project and choose any available reward tier until the campaign closes. The campaign runs until about noon Eastern on October 22.

What it also mean is that all the goodies I promised as rewards have to be made! LOL! I didn't overload the campaign with swag because of that, but there are two important items that are now solidly on my production schedule.

First: a Kickstarter-exclusive hardcover edition of Dangerous Drusilla

Everyone who backs me from the Digital recruit level and up will receive the pre-publication eBook of Dangerous Drusilla, and Paperback Recruits and Full Club Members will receive the paperback as well.

Those who are generous enough to back me in the top three tiers (Founding Member, Roll of Honor, Patron of the Pinkstocking Club) will receive an exclusive hardcover edition with dust jacket that combines the prequel novella, Dru's Dare, with the full novel, Dangerous Drusilla. Backers in the top two tiers will also have their names permanently included in the Roll of Honor at the back of the book.

This edition will only be available through this Kickstarter campaign. So it truly is exclusive.

Another Kickstarter exclusive: A Dangerous Drusilla Pinkstocking Club enamel pin.

I'm working with a company to finalize the design and production of 1-1.25 inch enamel pins. I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what these should look like, and would love some input.

Below are four concepts. The final pin design will depend on production requirements, but these are all designs that could work on a small enamel pin. Just hit "reply" and tell me #1, #2, #3, or #4. Remember, these are concept images—the finished enamel pin will be simplified and adapted for actual production.

I can't guarantee what you choose will be the final pin, but input from you will help me refine the direction.

Play the Pinkstocking Club Name Game!

One of the most fun things about this series (aside from actually writing the books, which is such a huge pleasure) is how I get to invent ways to bring the world I'm creating to life.

One way is with The Pinkstocking Name Game. Visitors to the Kickstarter page can scroll down and play along. My Pinkstocking name is Feisty Augusta, Forger Extraordinaire, LOL!

Let me know what yours is. 😁

Fully funded—but you can still join the Pinkstocking Club!

Like the pins? Want the hardcover, or a paperback? Just want to show your support for the start of something new? I would so welcome you as a member of The Pinkstocking Club. I have lots more fun things planned, including exclusive access to the Pinkstocking Club Archives on my website. Stay tuned for more information!

With much, much gratitude,

Susanne

P.S. The Kickstarter campaign runs until October 22. You have until then to back it and get some exclusive rewards.

Dear Reader, Today at noon, my Kickstarter campaign goes live. I've been working toward this day for months—a rhythm I'm familiar with from launching my books. What is bizarre to me is that this isn't a book launch day. It's a day when I'm launching the promise of a book and a new series—which is quite a novel idea (pun intended). Of course, the book exists already. It will be published as scheduled on January 5, and Kickstarter backers will get pre-publication editions if the campaign funds....

Dear Reader, You'd be forgiven for thinking that I'm a bit of a Johnny One Note at the moment. I'm truly anxious/curious/excited/doubtful about my Kickstarter campaign, which launches a week from today. Eeek! I won't bore you by reiterating my reasons for doing it. All of that aside, I'm about to discover whether running a Kickstarter is just a ton of hard work, an incredibly useful exercise, or something that will give my new series the kickoff I'm hoping for. Want to hold my hand on the...

Dear Reader, Lots of little things that add up to a big deal for me have happened this week. Let's start by saying that I took my first adult ballet class in decades on Monday evening 😅. I was never a dancer, but I enjoy that movement a great deal, and it was all the sweeter because it was taught by my amazingly talented and energetic daughter. Monday was the first day her new ballet studio opened. I'm so proud of her. She did it all herself. Biddeford Ballet studio before the ribbon cutting!...
