Dear Reader,

The first of September. I honestly can't believe it. I suppose time will pass, so enough of that. 😊 Here's the big news:

The Dangerous Drusilla Kickstarter campaign launches in one month!

You may have noticed that this newsletter looks a little different...

It's all Drusilla's fault. She is feisty, to say the least. I confess that she twisted my arm a bit. Or as she would put it:

"With my first adventure preparing to make its way into the world I thought it only sensible that this newsletter should dress for the occasion. Susanne obliged me by acquiescing.

"I assure you, there is no truth whatsoever to the rumor that she was stood against a target and encouraged to reconsider the design.

"Once my world has been successfully launched, Susanne will return the newsletter to something resembling its former condition."

(As I said, very persuasive.)

Allow me to introduce you to Sebastian Overworth, Viscount Ravenscar!

Yes, this is an enemies-to-lovers story at its heart. That's one of my favorite romance tropes. And it's so much fun to write the tension and growing attraction between the opposing forces. Over the next few weeks I'll introduce you to some of the principal secondary characters who not only nudge the plot forward, but provide support and comic relief at times.

Kickstarter backers get early access to the novel (November—it's being published on January 5), and at some levels you can receive paperback editions or even a Kickstarter exclusive hardcover edition that includes the prequel novella, Dru's Dare.

Dear Reader, Today at noon, my Kickstarter campaign goes live. I've been working toward this day for months—a rhythm I'm familiar with from launching my books. What is bizarre to me is that this isn't a book launch day. It's a day when I'm launching the promise of a book and a new series—which is quite a novel idea (pun intended).
