The Dowager's Grand Triumph Is Available for Preorder!

News & Musings from
Susanne Dunlap

Dear Reader,

I'm just back from a remarkable weekend among 250 powerhouse women, members of the Smith College class of 1976. Our 50th reunion! So many trips down memory lane, to be trite about it, LOL! But I won't bore you with anything other than encouraging you to make those connections as you go through life. They can be surprisingly enriching and heartwarming.

With no more ado, here's the big news for today:

The Dowager's Grand Triumph is available for preorder!

I really am thrilled to have finished the Double-Dilemma Romance Series with this book featuring both a later-in-life and a mixed-heritage heroine. It was a challenge, say the least. But I can never seem to make things easy on myself when it comes to writing...

It's always a privilege to have ARC readers willing to provide advance reviews to help generate excitement, and I've already gotten two!

"...I think this was my favorite book in the series ... and of course, the intertwining of two romances in one book has been my favorite part of the series." — Southern Belle
"As usual for this series I found it hard to stop reading this book. Such wonderful characters that feel real." — Trina

It's truly gratifying to an author to hear that a book has "landed" for readers. Of course, readers are different, and a book that one person loves another might go "meh" about. But when it comes to reading, there's room for everyone's personal taste.

Meet one of the characters: Sir Julian Meredith

I gave you a peek at Sir Julian a few weeks ago, but here's a little more about him: He's a 29-year-old barrister at Lincoln's Inn, known for his attention to detail and insight. While he shines at court—in his robes and powdered wig—he's all thumbs in society, where he feels his bright red hair is a liability. Perhaps that's why he loves his no-judgment spaniel, Bramble. Suffice it to say, I had immense fun crafting this awkward and intelligent hero.

One of the things I love best about writing historical romance is doing the research into areas I would otherwise not know about. In this case, it was the workings of the English justice system—and the impact of the Suspension of Habeas Corpus Act of 1817. (I always write a historical note at the end of my books for anyone who is interested in knowing more.)

It's still Love in Full Bloom month!

I'm thrilled to be a part of this special promotion with Kindle books that offer closed-door romance in abundant sub-genres—everything from cowboy to rom-com and of course, historical. Take a look and discover a wonderful new read today!

Finally, as always, thank you for joining me on this journey.

The Dowager's Grand Triumph is the final book in this series, but fear not: Another series is coming! I'll be telling you more about it over the summer. But for now, I hope you'll consider preordering this book—the Amazon algorithm loves preorders. ❤️

I hope you're enjoying spring wherever you are!

Until next time,

Susanne

News & Musings from Susanne Dunlap Dear Reader, Gulp! Only a week until launch day for The Teacher's Noble Heart, book five in my Double-Dilemma Romance series. Book five!!! I'm kind of gobsmacked when I think that The Dressmaker's Secret Earl, the first book in the series, was published less than a year ago. I started writing it months before that, of course, but I'm still amazed at how these romances have poured out of me, as if they were hiding in my heart and just waiting for their chance...
